The 2008/09 international Trikot would see a return to a more familiar look, a plain white design with red trim. Stylish yet simple, this traditional-looking shirt would be a stark contrast to some of the more complicated designs.
With a simple round neck and breathable panels, the red is kept to a bare minimum with just the three famous Adidas shoulder stripes and a very fine piping on the sleeves. The Adidas logo is machine-stitched in fine red thread below the neck, while the club crest and gold championship stars are also woven onto the shirt. Following the club’s twentieth Bundesliga title in 2007/08, there are four gold championship stars above the famous FC Bayern badge. Across the chest is the T-Com logo, in the corporate colours of pink and black.
At the bottom of the shirt are the new circular security hologram and “Climacool” logo.
The back of this shirt is plain, with just a very simply “FC Bayern” woven in cursive script in red thread at the top. On the sleeves are the two UEFA Champions’ League patches, the “ball” symbol and dark blue oval representing Bayern’s four wins in Europe’s premier tournament.
