The international Trikot for 2007/08 would have the same modern design as previous “Teamgeist” shirts, but in a smart-looking black with customised detailing featuring the club’s past triumphs in Europe.
The black shirt has a round neck and non-contrasting colour, with the three famous Adidas shoulder stripes in deep red. The main focus of the design are the two vertical red and blue bands on the left (or the right if you are wearing it), which contains the dates of FC Bayern’s previous European finals and their opponents. The vertical bars fade out at the centre, leaving a central area which is occupied by the “T-Home” sponsor logo, screen-printed in white.
As with the other similar shirts from 2006-2008 the Adidas logo is located just under the neck and machine-stitched in white/silver thread, with the FC Bayern club crest also woven onto the shirt with the three championship stars in gold. The shirt features a number breathable panels, and the front detailing is completed with the “Climacool” label and security hologram.
There is a subtle asymmetry to the design with the piping on one sleeve being red and the other blue, and on the back of the shirt there is a very fine embossed detail of the Bayern “FCBM” crest first worn in 1900.
