The look of the Heimtrikot would be changed yet again for 2006/07, with the all-red design replaced with red and white horizontal stripes. While past Trikots had included red and white vertical stripes, the horizontal design would be a first.
Following the same essential “Teamgeist” styling as the white away and burgundy international Trikots, the 2007/08 Heimtrikot would have many of the same modern-looking features such as the round neck = but without the collar.
As with the other “Teamgeist” designs the Adidas logo – machine-stitched in white/silver thread – is positioned just below the neck. The club crest is also stitched onto the garment, along with the three championship stars in gold. The three famous Adidas stripes run down the shoulder in white, and the updated “T-Home” sponsor logo is screen-printed in white and positioned on the centre horizontal red band. At the bottom of the front are the “Climacool” label and security hologram.
The all-red reverse of the Trikot has the standard “Bayern München” screen-printed across the top in white, above the name and number seven of French winger Franck Ribéry. This example purchased from the club shop also contains the additional detail in the form of the Bundesliga patch on the right sleeve, and a new horizontal “T-Home” sponsor patch on the left sleeve.
Right at the bottom of the back of the shirt is an extra little detail – an embossed historical “FCBM” badge, which was the first one worn by the club in 1900.
