The away shirt for 2006/07 would see a return to white, but with the stylised elements featured on the Adidas “Teamgeist” design of the time – a look very similar to the Trikots sported by the German national team during the World Cup in 2006.
The very fluid-looking and deliberately modern design of the white shirt features red and dark blue trim and detail, from very subtle red breathable side panels and a large dark blue and red collar that blends into the design and the scalloped neck.
The machine-stitched Adidas logo in blue thread is positioned just below the neck rather than opposite the club crest, while the crest itself is also machine-stitched. Above the crest are the three championship stars, all in fine gold thread. The three famous shoulder stripes are in dark blue, matching the Adidas logo, collar and screen-printed “T-Com” sponsor logo. At the base of the shirt are the “Climacool” label and “Teamgeist” hologram.
On the reverse of the shirt there is the usual “Bayern München” screen-printed in blue, and the red detail can also be seen. On the lower part of the left sleeve is the “Teamgeist” symbol, machine-stitched in dark blue and red thread.
