The new “Climacool” design for the 2004/06 Champions’ League Trikot would share the same design as the new away shirt, but in a striking combination of black and dark red. Featuring breathable side meshed panels and a stylised V-neck in dark red, the three matching shoulder stripes on the black shirt taper to a point around an inch from the base of the sleeves, which also have a dark red detail on the back.
Both the Adidas logo and the FC Bayern club crest are machine-stiched in fine thread, the logo in red and the crest in the traditional colours. Above the club crest are the three championship stars, all machine stitched in silver/white thread. Across the chest is the screen-printed “T-Com” logo in white.
Another custom purchase from the the club shop, this Trikot has the name and squad number of Peruvian centre-forward Claudio “Pizza” Pizarro, screen printed in white. Conforming to the standard pattern for the international designs there is no “Bayern München” on the back of the shirt, with the player name positioned above the squad number rather than below.
Completing the look are the two special UEFA Champions’ League patches – the silver and black circular “ball” patch and the blue oval champions patch making FC Bayern’s four victories in the competition.
