The FC Bayern München shirts from the 1980s are quite rightly seen as classics, and this home shirt with the computer company Commodore as a sponsor – appropriate given that I owned a C64 – is one of the best and most timeless. With little in the way of design features, this simple badgeless U-neck design is all red with alternating shades of red in the form of very subtle horizontal stripes.
While the Adidas trefoil is made of a plastic material, the main Commodore logo and the “FC Bayern München” legend on the back are in a soft white high quality felt. The design also features the three famous Adidas shoulder stripes in white.
This is a special long-sleeve version purchased in Memmingen, and has happily sat in the wardrobe since I sadly grew out of it years ago.
